Power has been restored on Grand Rapids Community College’s campus, but classes starting before 5 p.m., in the Applied Technologies Center and Spectrum Theater, are still cancelled.
According to GRCC officials, a large portion of downtown Grand Rapids’ power went out this morning around 10:30 a.m. At that time a notice was sent out to students and staff, informing them of the cancellations. Consumers Energy restored the power shortly after noon, but classes remain cancelled until 5 p.m.
Classes in any other building were not affected.
